What is the difference between pressure washing and soft washing?
Pressure washing uses force to clean durable surfaces like concrete. Soft washing uses very low pressure and a cleaning solution to break down algae, mildew and organic growth on delicate surfaces like siding and roofing. The surface decides the method.
Is soft washing safe for siding and roofing?
Yes, and that is the reason it exists. High pressure can force water behind siding and strip granules off shingles. Soft washing cleans those materials at a pressure they can take.
How often should I have my house professionally washed?
Once a year suits most homes around here. Heavily shaded houses and anything close to trees or water tend to grow algae faster and may want it more often.
Can you remove black streaks and algae from a roof?
In most cases yes. Black streaking on shingle roofs is usually algae, and roof soft washing is designed specifically to clear it without damaging the shingle.
Do you clean gutters as part of house washing?
We clean the outside of gutters, which is what removes the dark vertical staining people notice from the street. Let us know if that is a priority so we can scope it properly.
Will the cleaning solution hurt my plants?
